Socks 'N Paws

This last two weeks has been hard guys, DAMN HARD. I quit smoking. Sock dreams had a huge sale to celebrate their ten year anniversary, and I was stuck with no socks becuase of the no socks in July challenge, and it has been uber hot here….but dammit! It’s the 30th, July is over (tomorrow), and its raining which is making the house nice and cool!

Sunday marks two weeks since I (and my husband) quit smoking, and I thought these nifty socks  from Ashi Dashi would be the perfect thing to post as a celebration!

I had seen them before I quit, and while I did thing they were funny, they were not something I wanted to wear. The model in the photo is male – and I think it’s just a manly looking sock. Actually, When I think of socks in terms of  men’s clothing,  I always picture tube socks, so the lack of heel might have soemthing to do with my not wanting to wear these socks.

I would be interested in knowing if there is a woman out there who would wear these?

They are cute though! Don’t get me wrong…Just..they are the wrong kind of cute, if you know what I mean?

OMG guys I’m so sorry. I flaked out there, eh? I think it might be the heat, or the lack of daily routine now that the kids are out of school – I like to blog at 8pm after they have gone to bed. Maybe this kind of stuff – forgetting days is like a summer diet (get it? I’m “lite” on posting?) (LOL, SNP is on phentremene) GAH! I dunno. I keep missing days then swearing to myself that I will do better on the next week, and just look at me!

*SOB*

I need socks to cheer me up!

How about these beauties?



I have to admit that I am pretty terrified wearing these. They are pantyhose material, they WILL snag easy, and the thought of snagging them keeps me up at night. Well. Not really. But you get the picture.



They are just so freaking HAWT. Omg. They end just below the knee. You *could* pull them above but they will slip down pretty fast. And the hooks? REAL. And they are in there solid too. I am not worried about them at all!

I wish I had thought to take a close up photo of the hooks. If I had, it would go right here.



I did have a hard time centering the hooks along the back of my legs though. Even with my husbands help, they are still a tad crooked! It did get uncomfortable walking with the hooks inside my shoe (along the back, so I pulled them up a tad higher so the hooks were outside my shoe.



Nice finished toe, no defined heel (fits everyone that way LOL)

All in all? A sweet freaking purchase!

Aren’t they adorable?



The little bow is held on by thread (I will probably have to reinforce it)



With the exception of the bow, all things pink are riddled with shiny thread to make it *sparkle*

Sparkle is good!



They end just under the knee, the pink sparkle cuff is a tad itchy, but It goes away after a few minutes of wear, and I think after a few washings it will be gone completely! Because the pink is thread in, not a print, it will not fade or wear away, which is rocking.

I’m posting on a Saturday becuase I am ticked right off!

I spend a fair amount of time looking for socks, and because of that, I spend a fair amount of time getting pissed off at search engines.

lately it seems that I would have better luck searching hgh supplements and getting sock pictures than actually searching a relevant sock term.



Check out the screeny above. i searched spotty socks, looking for spotty socks. The first few images ARE spotty socks, but they are pretty boring, and then! Sock puppets. Or I guess sock monkeys. Whatever. It ticks me off.

You should have seen me and my husband the night we were looking for socks that looked like you were barefoot in them. We found EVERYTHING BUT!

What i need is for someone to make me a search engine that has nothing BUT socks, AND each photo has either a direct link where to purchase them, or contain the name of the sock and the maker so that I can search and find a seller myself.

Do you know how annoying it is to find a sweet ass sock, click the link and find out the link is dead?

It’s harsh, Man!

Anyway. I’m ticked off. And I cant even buy myself socks to cheer myself up! Stupid sock challenge! GAH!!
