Socks 'N Paws

Chrissy had sign ups and matched usup for February earlier than normal, so that those of us who wanted to send Valentine themed socks would have time to ship them in time for their sock sister to get them for the big day! I was glad, becuase I love sending themed socks! I bought my sock sister two pairs becuase I couldnt decided between them – LOL

I havent gotten my socks from my January sock sister, but since they ordered through Sock Dreams, I will start watching for them towards the end of next week. Im pretty excited. I skipped out on the december pair ups so I havent had a pair of socks in the mail for a while now

I don’t envy Chrissy in trying to get us all matched up. Its not as if it’s laser spine surgery or anything like that, but it is tough. Plus, some months she is trying to match us all of on her phone! Wowzers! ive tried to use mobile facebook and it sucks donkey balls!

My bosses wife is having a baby, she is due at the end of February. Is it still cool to give cigars to a dad to congratulate him? Like these Black and Mild cigars? Or do I have that backwards, and the daddy gives out cigars? I cant even remember, but I do know he is a smoker.

I really enjoy my new boss, and his wife is a blast, she is really funny. I found out she loves colorful socks too and promptly gave her the link to Sock Dreams. It will be hard when she has the baby because obviously my boss will want to have time off and right now he works a lot of hours. Im gonna have to step up and work extra hours to cover it, and thats gonna be interesting. My feet get so bloody sore by the end of my shift, and its only 6.5 hours. I have no idea how micah has been working 8.5 hours a day for ten plus years on his concrete floor at work, ZOMG.

I bought these arch things for the inside of my shoe because my arches hurt the most, but it was weird. All day long my feet hurt, bad. I could feel the arch things and by the end of shift it felt like I had rocks in my shoe, however, when I got home and took off my shoes, my feet weren’t sore. Well they were a bit, but not even close to how they had been. So do I keep the arch supports in and have sore feet during the day but nice ones at night or visea versa?

in some ways this job thing sucks balls.

I have a list of complaints for you.

1. my ass is numb. I have been fooling around on line – mostly facebook, since seven PM. for those of you at home counting, that’s three hours.

2. my feet are currently cold. This is important because twenty minutes ago they were sweating they were so hot. Its stupid here, socks on, my feet are too hot, socks off, my feet are too cold, and I dont think I need to tell you how I feel about socks off, do I?

3. It hurts to type because I got a splinter in my pointer finger from one of the wood switch covers at work, and I finger peck so it hits my boo boo every time I use it

4. I started sneezing three days ago, and havent really stopped. My nose is drying out and cracking on the inside from it, and it stings like a mofo.

5. I bought new bubble bath and the bubbles are little and disappear before the tub is even full. Who do I have to kill to get a decent bubble bath around here?

I was at work yesterday whern my husband texted me to say “You want to know what someone did at work? they lit a FIRE blanket on fire. That takes skills!”‘

My husband is a welder, if you didnt know, and a fire blanket is a leather blanket that they use to protect surfaces, items or people from the sparks and fire from welding. The fire blankets are not quite fireproof but they are pretty damn close. Seems the guy didnt shake off the sparks when he was done, he just folded up the blanket and put it away, sparks enclosed. They kept burning away unti l the workers smelled smoke. My hubby and his boss had tillman gloves on (welders gloves) so they took the blanket out and stomped the heck out of it til the fire was out.

But how fricken stupid? Leaving the sparks in there? what if the fire had burned fasted and overnight the building burned down? what would the employees do then? I have no idea, personally, what WE would do if that happens. I hope the big bosses can figure out who the idiot who did this is, and fires their ass!

So I got that job thing, and it was fun to start, but the new owners changed the hours and there is no longer a three hour cover shift – that was whaty I was originally doing. I decided to stick it out and give the new owners a shot, even though it meant going from 6-12 hours a week to 19+ hours a week. I not work two mornings (1030-5) and an evening shift (5-11) and work isnt fun anymore LOL

Today I had to peel 100 lbs of potatoes. My wrist and shoulders are killing me, as are my feet.

But the worst part is that the new owners love steaks, so there are seventy billion different steaks all on the menu, and i have to be able to cook them to the customers specs. In my opinion, there is only one way to eat meat, and that is 100 percent, fully cooked, NO pink at all. I dunno what I am gonna do when they order rare. I dont think I can actually serve a rare steak

Maybe I should look in to one of those Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Jobs. That would be fun, but I am guessing it would take a fair amount of training.

I work tomorrow 5-11 sp I bette rhave a hot (HOT) shower and hit the hay. Im gonna be tired as it is when I wake up in the morning!
